From Yreka take Hwy 3 SW for apprx. 50 miles to Callahan. From Callahan take Hwy 93 west. Travel this paved road apprx. 14 miles to the Trail Creek Campground on the East Fork of the South Fork of the Salmon River. on the opposite side of the road you will find the hardpacked dirt road leading up to the Trail Creek Gold Mines.
